Hola, I’m Fabi

Hola, I’m Fabi

I’m a spicy Mexican who calls the world her home and office.

Six years ago, I left home (Mexico) with a lot of dreams and a lot of fears. I had no plan, no money, just the hunger to see the world and become financially independent.

I took a leap of faith and left everything behind to travel the world and pursue my dream of living life on my own terms.

Fast-forward to today, over 40 countries later, I own a digital content creation business better known as The Content Community (TCC). I also build and manage remote teams for other companies. And, teach yoga. Over the course of the last six years, my life has changed drastically, and so has my outlook on life.

I’ve managed to travel around the world, all while working remotely and building my own thriving online business.

I’m a true believer that everything is possible. That dreams do come true & that your mindset truly impacts your life in unmeasurable ways.

The Borderless Mind is where I share my experiences, adventures, passions and personal story. Hoping to be a travel resource, but more than that an inspiration for you to believe in yourself and your dreams & take the necessary risks to accomplish them.

Thanks for stopping by!

And remember – The world belongs to us!

HOW DID IT ALL START?

I was born and raised in beautiful Mexico. And even though I have always loved Mexico, my family, friends, the food, the weather, the culture, there is so much to love! There was also so much I disliked.

Growing up, I always felt like I wasn’t free to be myself. There was little to no room to want different things. My role as a woman felt very defined, but not by me. I had family and friends that loved me, an entire community, but still, I felt like I didn’t quite belong.

In my early twenties, I started traveling as much as I could. Basically, I would get a job, save some money, travel, spend all the money, come back, and repeat. I had some wonderful times, but overall, I was not in the right place nor doing the right thing.

But one night, everything changed.

AND THEN, HOW DID YOU MAKE IT WORK?

With a lot of work. I was so worried of coming back home empty handed that I HAD to make it work. Also, my feelings were very hurt, so I promised myself that the next time I went back home I was going to do it because I wanted to, not because I needed to.

Our first stop was Croatia, then Greece, Turkey, Belgium, Slovenia, Estonia, Egypt, Dubai, and all the way to Asia. I was in love with exploring the world. Living out of a suitcase felt amazing, and I didn’t want to stop!

As soon as I left Mexico I started working with my boyfriend, he connected me with a few friends and I started doing basic online work for them. READ MORE

AND NOW?

It has been 6 years, and oh my god so much has happened.

I was on the road with my now ex-boyfriend for almost 3 years. At the point we decided to go our separate ways, I chose to continue my travels while working remotely by myself. Although I had been traveling for a while, this was different, it was the first time I did it entirely by myself. Scary.

My plan was to spend a few months in Asia and then go back home and figure something out… but life had a different plan.

I arrived in Bali after a month in the US and India. Then decided to base myself there for 2–3 months instead of moving around. As it turned out, Bali became my permanent home! I have been here for 4 years now.
