It has been 6 years, and oh my god so much has happened.
I was on the road with my now ex-boyfriend for almost 3 years. At the point we decided to go our separate ways, I chose to continue traveling while working remotely by myself.
Although I had been traveling for a while, this was different, it was the first time I did it entirely by myself. It was scary.
My plan was to spend a few months in Asia and then go back home and figure something out… life had a different plan.

I arrived in Bali after a month in the US and India. I wanted to base myself there for 2–3 months instead of moving around.
As it turned out, I have been here for nearly 4 years now. Bali became my permanent home!
I loved it so much I started extending my stay one month at a time, until it had been over six months. But surely I had to go back, right? Of course! So I bought a flight to go back home. Who would have known that just a few weeks later, COVID-19 would happen. And with that, traveling was not an option anymore and my flight got canceled. I felt so relieved, I realized I did not want to leave, so why was I?
Now, I still travel as much as I can, but my base is Bali.
